Will Ford and his horses at Gooseford Farm

This postcard shows Will Ford riding his horses at Gooseford Farm. He worked as a binder at this farm. A reaper-binder cut hay and bound it into sheaves. The reaper-binder was a very useful invention and enabled one man and two horses (as shown here) to do the same amount of work in one hour that a [LinkToda004392 scytheman] could manage in a whole day.
