Station Road and Dolphin Hotel, Bovey Tracey

A photograph of part of the front of the Dolphin Hotel and neighbouring shops in Station Road, Bovey Tracey. The photograph was published by T.Cann of Bovey Tracey The Dolphin Hotel was one of the largest hotels in the town. It was an old coaching hotel and posting house where horses were exchanged and passengers could find refreshment or overnight lodgings. Later it served passengers arriving by rail. The railway no longer exists, but the hotel is still trading today.
