Western White Barrow & Red Lake

Western White Barrow (Whitaburrow), showing the stump of Petre's Cross set into a bronze age cairn. The cross, which in this picture has a rock balanced on top of it, is a boundary stone between the parishes of South Brent and Dartmoor Forest. In the background is the spoil tip of the Red Lake china clay works, active until the early 20th Century.
